Kitchen51 Cottages is located on Farm Geduld, 40 kilometres south of Keetmanshoop in Namibia's Karas Region. We are right off the B1 highway with direct paved tar road access — no gravel roads required. GPS: -26.526°S, 18.144°E.

What types of accommodation do you offer?

We offer 7 free-standing luxury cottages — 3 triple cottages sleeping up to 3 guests and 4 family cottages sleeping up to 4 guests — plus 1 self-catering cottage that accommodates up to 6 guests. All cottages have air conditioning, free WiFi, private bathrooms, and outdoor verandas.

How much does it cost to stay at Kitchen51 Cottages?

Accepted Answer

Luxury cottage rates (VAT inclusive, valid 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027): 1 person N$1,550 per night; 2 persons N$1,880 per night; 3 persons N$2,200 per night; 4 persons N$2,530 per night. The self-catering cottage is N$3,000 for up to 4 guests, N$3,200 for 5, and N$3,400 for 6.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 15:00 to 17:00. Late check-in is available until 20:00 at no extra cost. Early check-in may be arranged on request, subject to availability, at N$200 per hour. Check-out is at 10:00.

Do the cottages have kitchen facilities?

Accepted Answer

The 7 luxury cottages have fridges, freezers, and tea/coffee stations but no cooking facilities. All guests can use the fully equipped communal kitchen and outdoor BBQ/braai area at no charge. Firewood is available for purchase. The self-catering cottage has its own fully equipped private kitchen.

Can I get meals at Kitchen51 Cottages?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pre-book a traditional home-cooked farm dinner at N$255 per adult (N$127 per child under 12, half portion). Dinner must be ordered at least 48 hours in advance. Buffet breakfast is N$160 per person. Meals can be served in the communal dining area, by the pool, or delivered to your cottage. We hold a full liquor licence.

Do you require a deposit to book?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A 50% deposit is required once we have confirmed your booking. The full deposit is forfeited if you cancel after confirmation. For bookings made within 7 days of arrival, full upfront payment is required and is non-refundable if cancelled.

Are children and families welcome?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all ages are welcome. Children under 2 years stay free. A cot is available at N$100 per stay. Children 2 years and older pay adult rates. The property has a swimming pool with child-safety gate, open space, and a safe farm environment.

No, pets are not permitted. Kitchen51 is a working farm with resident animals. Guests with animal allergies should take this into consideration before booking.

Accepted Answer

No. Kitchen51 Cottages is directly accessible from the B1 tar highway — no gravel roads, no 4x4 required. You can reach us in any vehicle including standard rental cars, caravans, and camping trailers. We have secure undercover parking for cars and trailers.
