Kitchen51 Cottages is located on Farm Geduld, 40 kilometers South of Keetmanshoop in Namibia's Karas Region. We're right off the B1 highway with direct paved road access - no gravel roads required.
Q2: What types of accommodation do you offer?
We offer 7 luxury cottages (3 triple cottages sleeping up to 3 guests, and 4 family cottages sleeping up to 4 guests), plus 1 Two-Bedroom Apartment with kitchen that accommodates up to 6 guests. All cottages have air conditioning, WiFi, private bathrooms, and outdoor verandas.
Q3: Do the cottages have kitchens?
Our 7 luxury cottages have fridges and tea/coffee stations but no cooking facilities. However, guests can use our fully equipped communal kitchen and BBQ area. Our Two-Bedroom Apartment has its own private, fully equipped kitchen.
Q4: Can I get meals at Kitchen51 Cottages?
Yes! We offer pre-booked dinner (N$300 per adult, N$150 per child) and buffet breakfast (N$160 per person). Dinner must be ordered 48 hours in advance. Meals can be delivered to your cottage or enjoyed in our communal dining areas.
Q5: How much does it cost to stay at Kitchen51 Cottages?
Our luxury cottages range from N$ 2,000 (1 person) to N$ 3,500 (4 persons) per night.
The Two-Bedroom Apartment is N$3,550 per night for up to four guests and additional guests N$200 each per night, to a maximum of six. Rates are valid until June 30, 2027, and include air conditioning, WiFi, parking, and welcome beverages.
Q6: What facilities are available for guests?
We offer a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, communal BBQ/braai area, fully equipped communal kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, free WiFi, free secure undercover parking, 24-hour security, and hiking/mountain biking trails on the farm.
Q7: What nearby attractions can I visit from Kitchen51?
We're perfectly located for day trips to the Quiver Tree Forest (60km), Giant's Playground geological formations, Keetmanshoop museums and shops (40km), Fish River Canyon, and Ai-Ais Hot Springs. We're an ideal stopover between South Africa and central Namibia.
Q8: What is your check-in and check-out time?
Check-in is from 15:00 to 17:00, with late check-in available until 20:00 at no extra cost. Early check-in may be arranged on request and is subject to availability at a fee of N$200 per hour. Check-out is at 10:00.
Q9: Are pets allowed at Kitchen51 Cottages?
No, we do not allow pets at Kitchen51 Cottages to ensure the comfort of all our guests and maintain our high cleanliness standards.
Q10: How do I make a booking?

Q11: Can I stargaze on the Kitchen51 property, or do I need to drive somewhere?
Both work. The cottage verandas give you unobstructed southern sky views with no light pollution. For a more dedicated experience, Kitchen51 also operates Eternity Edge Lookout — a summit viewpoint on the farm with carefully placed chairs and zero ambient light. The Night Sky Ritual is the signature stargazing experience.
